One instrument on two charts: daily and weekly side by side

Two charts let you examine one instrument across timeframes without repeatedly switching a single view. Use a symbol that already loads successfully for you: daily first, then the same instrument weekly.

A practical scenario for the current Student Wyckoff Pro workspace. AI-assisted text and translations were checked against the help and interface source.

Prepare the daily chart

Enter your symbol in the main instrument field, choose Day and a suitable history length, then select Load. Wait for completion and verify the instrument shown.

Start with the same ticker in both charts. You will then compare timeframes rather than changing both instrument and timeframe together. The History field is shared by both requests.

Add the same symbol on the weekly timeframe

Choose the button numbered 2 for two charts side by side. In the second-chart fields, enter the same symbol and choose Week. Select Load second chart and wait for the overall load to finish.

Check both symbols and timeframes: the first should remain daily and the second weekly. Resolve any loading error first. A second input containing a ticker does not itself confirm that its history was loaded.

Choose whose indicator settings you are changing

Click the intended chart or select it in Chart settings before changing its indicators or parameters. The selector shows chart number and instrument so you can verify the target.

Keep the two selections distinct. Instrument and timeframe fields define the data requested for each chart. Chart settings chooses the indicator set being edited. Selecting the second indicator set does not by itself turn daily data into weekly data.

Allow for different timeframes and shared zoom controls

Check dates and the timeframe on each chart. A daily bar and a weekly bar represent different intervals. The same horizontal position alone does not establish the same date.

The common zoom-in, zoom-out, All history and latest-loaded-bar buttons operate on both charts. Their indicator sets remain separate. Recheck the visible date ranges after changing the scale.

Save the pair and reopen it

Give the workspace a clear name, such as Daily and weekly, choose Save workspace and wait for confirmation. A workspace stores both instruments, timeframes and indicator settings; a saved workspace view controls appearance.

Select this workspace and choose Open. Check two-chart mode, the matching symbol, daily on the first chart and weekly on the second, then both indicator sets. Save the two-chart version before returning to one chart if you want to reopen that exact arrangement.

Your next practical step

Build a daily/weekly pair with one instrument available to you. Check the selected chart each time before editing indicators.
